Miniatürk A Miniature Park in Istanbul

Located on the northeastern shore of the Golden Horn in Istanbul, the fascinating miniature park called Miniatürk attracts locals and tourists alike. Since its opening in 2003, it has become a magnet for curious visitors wanting to learn more about Ottoman architecture, culture, and history, especially those who (sadly!) don’t have time to see all the sights during their stay.

Captivating, Educational, and Fun

Imagine 60,000 square meters covered with miniature versions of Turkey’s greatest buildings set on impeccably manicured lawns. With a tiny train traversing beautifully designed pathways and a mini coin-operated cable boat, the park is a brilliant testimonial to the rich historical background that embodies the Ottoman Empire. In an atmosphere that is captivating, educational, and fun for both adults and children, Miniatürk is a truly unique spot and definitely worth a visit.

Bowing to the Rich Heritage of Turkey

Picture 122 mini models of ancient Ottoman buildings created at 1/25th scale. Here you will see maquettes of historical wonders such as the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Mausoleum of Maussillos at Haricarnassus (now Bodrum), the Hagia Sophia, the Aspendos Theater, the Suleymaniye Mosque, Fairy Chimneys, Mount Nemrud, Atatürk National Airport, a copy of the Bosphorus bridge that extends from Europe to Asia, and much more. With 58 historic structures originating from Istanbul, 52 from Anatolia, and 12 from Ottoman territories lying outside of Turkey on the borders of adjoining countries, the park takes a deep bow to the rich heritage of the country.

Plenty to Do and See

Miniatürk offers a gift shop, a restaurant with both outdoor and indoor seating, a café, shopping center, cinema, exhibition hall, library, labyrinth, open-air theater, and a great playground for the kids. With ample open spaces, covered areas, pools, waterways, and a parking lot that accommodates up to 500 vehicles, you can comfortably spend the day here and have plenty to do and see.

Affordable and Easy to Reach

Affordable at around 7 USD, with Turkish citizens and students enjoying a reduced fee, the park is open from 9 am to 7 pm on weekdays, and from 9 am to 9 pm on weekends over the summer months. From Hotel Büyük Keban it is easy to reach this must-see miniature park.
